Arp Rosemary Plants

Rosmarinus officinalis 'Arp'

One of our favorite traditional herb plants, Rosemary 'Arp' is a versatile, cold hardy perennial that will perform year round!

'Arp' Rosemary has an erect habit with gray-green, needle-like leaves. As this culinary herb matures, the stems develop into woody limbs, which are often used to skewer meats and vegetables to infuse the foods with flavor. Perhaps the hardiest of all varieties, it will reach 36" to 48" and widths of 18" to 24". 'Arp' makes a terrific informal hedge and will release its lemony pine-like scent when you brush past it. This tough variety of Rosemary has been known to withstand temperatures as low as in the teens.

Although full sun is ideal, rosemary will tolerate up to a half day of shade. The fragrance of this aromatic herb is unmistakable, and the herb is useful for flavoring lamb, pork, or beef.

Really hardy!!! July 31, 2018

I bought both Rosemary Arp and Hardy Hill 3 years ago and planted each of them in a clay pot and put them on my patio in zone 7b Brooklyn.  I have NEVER brought them inside. They both have grown well and have made it through deep freezes here in NYC, even though plenty of other plants rated for zone 6 have died in pots during these times.  It's also been nice to have them both because they each have a distinctive flavor.  I love them!

The only rosemary that won't die over the winter! June 25, 2018
Reviewer: Janet B. from SPRINGFIELD, VA United States
The "Arp" variety is the only one that doesn't die on me when we have  two weeks in the low 20's.  Even then, I usually cover it with a plastic garbage can until it warms up.  The plant was small but looked very healthy and is growing well.

Received the plants in a very timely manner, in excellent condition, and with outstanding root growth. I don't know that I will ever order plants anywhere else.

great quality plant June 5, 2015
Reviewer: Christopher Mohs from New York, NY United States
This is my first year ordering from Grower's Exchange for herbs to have in my apartment window in NYC.  I was blown away with how healthy they were upon arrival and they are all doing splendidly.  Looking forward to a great season of fresh herbs.

With the Rosemary, I found the care tips helpful and will be using those throughout the season to keep my plants going strong.
