Peppermint Plants

Mentha x piperita

Peppermint is an old favorite for herb gardening. A delicious culinary herb, Peppermint plants are known to have a scent that is one of the strongest triggers of memory - one whiff of the cooling bouquet of this aromatic herb tends to back this up, as it conjures up images of candy canes!

Commercial uses are probably most familiar to people, but it can also be easily grown and put to a wide variety of culinary and medicinal purposes in your own home. Peppermint has been used for ages to help cure headaches, muscle cramps and chronic indigestion problems. The extracted essential oil, Menthol, is found in the plant's leaves and flowers and its soothing properties are useful in lotions, mouthwashes, soaps and candies.

Peppermint tea is used to ease digestion. This herb is a robust grower so give it plenty of room...or plant it in a container to avoid it taking over your garden! Plant mint in full to part sun in moist soil.

5 of 5 It smells phenomenal June 3, 2019

Although it’s early in the season and my Pepperoni is still on the small side, the plant itself was in fantastic condition when it arrived.  I’m sure if our weather in central PA would be consistent with where the normal temps are at this time of year, the plant would be further along as in past years.  Love the Growers Exchange.....their herbs are absolutely gorgeous and extremely healthy even though they’re shipped to my home address.

Very fragrant to work around. Could be a 5 star, but I ordered late, so spring will be the time to know for sure.

These plants are lush and huge compared to others I have bought elsewhere.  A great job packaging as well. I highly recommended this company.
