Silver Drop Eucalyptus Plants

Eucalyptus gunnii

'Silver Drop' Eucalyptus Plant, sometimes called a "Cider Gum", is a great aromatic herb and has a lovely, small, silvery leaf . These stems work well in any arrangement and can be used both fresh and dried. Add this great filler to your flower garden for its height as a background plant and its unusual but beautiful look. A more cold-hardy variety of the Eucalyptus plant, 'Silver Drop' has thrived on our farm here in zone 7, despite the harsh winters we sometimes get!

Medicinally, the essential oils from Eucalyptus 'Silver Drop' are used to relieve respiratory and sinus congestion and infection, rashes, sores and asthma. These oils are also used in deodorants, bath oils, shampoos and in Aromatherapy products.

Eucalyptus plants are easy to grow and maintain, both in the ground or in a container. It can be brought indoors to winter over, but be sure to give it lots of sunshine or this Tasmanian native won't grow happily.

So healthy June 25, 2018

I had repotted this to have on my screened porch for awhile and finally put it in the ground.  It is so aromatic just brushing against it.  We have been having lots of rain lately and it looks great. I can't wait to watch it grow bigger.

Dissapointing unlike my first order September 20, 2016
Reviewer: Hannah from Libertyville, IL United States
My first order was as great as the review left right below. It was about 16 inches tall and completely healthy. I was very impressed. This led me to place the second order. But this time it was quite disappointing. They were about 4 inches tall and wilted. And they didn't look like eucalyptus silver drop. They looked like lemon eucalyptus, since their leaves are slightly more pointier than the eucalyptus I have from my first order. I'm not sure whether I can say I was just unlucky.. I hope there is consistency in the quality and accuracy of the items they handle.

By the way, they promised to issue the refund, which made me consider placing the same order one more time- this time keeping my fingers crossed..

Extremely satisfied! September 6, 2016
Reviewer: Dina from Warrenton, MO United States
I don't usually write reviews on the products I buy unless I am impressed. I have to say, I am impressed with the value and the condition of my eucs when they arrived. They are 18" straight out of the box with absolutely no wilting, damage, or any other maladies. I love eucalyptus clippings in a vase, as the scent lasts for months. I live in Missouri and I'm going to try and grow one of my plants outside. I'm excited to see if they do survive over the winter, and I will surely be posting the results. Thank you, Grower's Exchange!

Plants November 2, 2015
Reviewer: Peggy Webb from Detroit, MI United States
I love my Euclyptus Silver Drop plants. I got them for health reason. They came in one piece, whole, and nothing wrong with them. They smile great. I've already re-potted  them and they are growing great. I just hope that there will be enough sun through the winter months because I live in Michigan. All is well for now. Plan go buying more that will actually grow in my apartment.
