Mentha ‘Utility Citrus Kitchen’
If you are serious about
herb gardening, mint
herb plants have to be included and we think that this one is perfect for both
culinary use and as an ornamental, grown in a
pot or container.
Similar in taste to the Orange Mint, Citrus Kitchen has a terrific citric scent and tastes great! Citrus Kitchen makes a great ingredient to stir frys, fruit salads, fish, rice, and summer drinks. This zesty herb is wonderful in dishes where just a little lemon flavor is just enough, and doesn't have the added bitterness or acidic taste of real lemon. For a great traditional Asian flavor combination, try using Citrus Kitchen Mint and
Lemon Grass in your next recipe--or try making a delicious
stir fry from our grower, Annie!
This herb, like the rest of the
Mint family will also keep well in a pot or container if you don't want it to overrun your garden. Grow it indoors for a fresh citrus perfume all year round!
Also available in our four inch hand thrown Guy Wolff
Greenhouse Pot. The aged finish of these classic terracotta pots will add style
to your naturally beautiful plants! Whether it's a "thank you" for
the hostess with the “mostest”, or a corporate Christmas gift, these potted
herbs make the perfect gift.
