Description Briscoe's Tips   Ocimum basilicum Herb plants are meant to be many things, and this gorgeous basil, with its almost black leaves, is a  new introduction to our basil plants. We love adding new basil plants to our selection. Resembling Basil 'Genovese', Basil 'Amethyst' has nice, thick turned down leaves with gorgeous dark foliage and produces an edible pink flower. Basil 'Amethyst', an exciting new culinary herb,  grows between 16 - 20" and has a wonderful fragrance. It is said to be soothing to the stomach.
